Local food is a key part of creating a closed loop of food and organic waste. A closed loop means our food is produced locally utilizing the land around us and our organic waste is composted locally supplying the land with nutrients to support further growth. This loop replenishes the land instead of degrading it.

Our current system supports centralized production that does not utilize land in a responsible way and has created dead end points where the nutrients in organic matter are disposed of in landfills.

Further, we are helping to create a closed loop economy where our financial resources support local farms and local farms feed more people.
